Abandoned amusement parks make me so sad. So much joy was had there, and now so much sadness.....:(
Strange layered cake appearance - yes -
but . . . that white crumbling coating; what could it possibly be?

The water line on the mounted monitors, wow, it got high in here. All the CRT monitors, wow, things have changed so much. Now, flat is where it is at.

And the financial damage to the city would have put Six Flags out of business anyway. Hard to pay amusement park admission when your home is no longer there.

In Ohio there is an amusement park in side of a former military tank factory. The ferris wheel extends out of the top of the building. The view is amazing especially is you get stopped up there. For any one curious it is the IX Center near the Cleveland airport.

I'd love some of that second story iron fencing. Always looks so cool in the French Quarter. Some of this stuff has to be salvagable. Those panels on the swing ride were in perfect condition. A Mardi Gras float could use them.
I've seen other pictures of this amusement park on the internet, but Mr Motts you always do the best job. I haven't seen it until I've seen it through your eyes. Thanks
