There is a very creepy looking heater hanging in the upper right corner. Very ugly and disgusting especially with the rust
I'm glad you had the opportunity to photograph these buildings. Don't know if you are aware, just last night two of the abandoned buildings were set on fire and have been lost.
Thank you for conserving their history.

This is the end of the light source going into the projector, not the projector itself. The dial controls the speed of the feed of the carbon rod creating the light (which slowly burns up) and has nothing to do with the framing rate.

@Carolyn: Oh settle down. Most of those people aren't even alive anymore. Things were handled very differently in the past, and those records were already decades old by the time they closed that hospital, as you have to keep them on file for a number of years before you can get rid of them. Talk about overreaction. Shredding also wasn't common then, and I guarantee you they didn't promise anyone they would be destroyed.

@kathleen: Unless you were a patient there before they closed THIS hospital in the early 80's, you have nothing to worry about. You obviously go to the current location. Again, those records would have been decades old by the early '80's, and I doubt you've been a patient THAT long.

In my experience, permission is rarely given due to liability concerns, but you can certainly give it a shot.

I'm a student photographer, I was wondering if we need to speak to someone about having a small photo shoot assignment in the hospital? Do we need to pay or get a permit?
