Perfect.
Beautiful detail in this door. Would love this as an entry door into something similar to the secret garden..

I shudder to think what kind of psychiatric treatment that went on behind those beautifully carved doors in 1850
Nice work Motts.
What a great film location this would make.
That floor may be as old as the 17th century. Hand set tiles, probably made specifically for this place.
Motts. Rosetta Stone is worth a shot if you want to learn more. Expensive, yes, but worth the money.

The floor looks really old, perhaps some leftover from the times of the convent?
Well translated Anais.
@ Ferdy--No, it's not lost, just not as common as it once was. There are stone sculptors in Italy and Greece today, they are getting older and have but few apprentices to learn the craft. (If it cannot be done by a robot and a computer, very few young people would take the time to learn something so labor intensive. :-(
The handiwork of Italian limners--plasterers.

I owned a Yugo in 1993. Not the worse car I ever owned. Spent a lot of weekends at salvage yards looking for parts. I doubled the value every time I filled the gas tank.

@Larry D
It's not a Yugo it's an old Fiat Panda. They are related because the Yugo was based on the Fiat 127 which was kind of a grandfather of the Panda.
