It looks like they hired many contractors over the years to work or construct changes to the building and that none of them could match any of the others.

I could imagine walking through there when the place was open and just standing in the middle of this nook absorbing the wonderful feel this little nook must offer it's visitors.
Imagine what it would cost today to build a building that didn't consist of squares and rectangles... arches are wonderful for the soul :)
I love this shot! I would love to have a museum that was built completely of pieces from various hospitals and possibly some abandoned buildings!
