HAHA...yeah. Well, the joys of having kids and getting old, I suppose...

That actually looks like insulation that was in the ceiling that is now hanging down, or trying to escape....

:-/
Nope. I am not ashamed of my past...everyone has one...

This hotel sure does seem to have a past, and an interesting one at that! I would have loved to see this place when it was filled with the hustle and bustle of patrons coming and going, on vacation or on business...

THAT would have been really priceless, but these photos sure do give you a sense of that Other Time, don't they?
Interesting... It sure LOOKS like a sewing machine, but I have an ancient Singer sewer that has a wheel identical to that one, except the wheel is mounted on the sewing machine itself, sitting on top of the surface of the table. Plus the horizontal braces around the sides of the legs would seriously interfere with sitting properly at this table...just a thought :)
Nvusofmotts, LOL, literally! I see the squashed person! Too funny :)

I love rooms that are in ruins that look out on fall folliage or a gray winter scene, even a sunny pleasant day. It's such a contrast.
HE'S WEARING MY PAJAMAS!!
That's a little more information than we really needed . . .
I wonder how many single people sat on this very bench looking to get picked up -
Hey! I'm not THAT old! That fax machine I referred to dates to about 1979, I used one when I worked at a bank at that time. We had a mainframe the size of a room on a raised floor that had to be kept very cool or it would overheat. This was before PCs and the internet became popular although geeks like me had PCs that we either built or bought on time because we had to have one. Ahhh memories, I could go on forever about computers and technology. But I won't!
