I have been a long time observer of your site and find the photography fascinating! Kudos to you! Nice job! I grew up in Foxboro and I also worked in the main building (Bldg. #1) as a kitchen aide in the early 80's and used to drive an electric cart pulling a food wagon underground through the main underground tunnel to and from the 'Dexter Building'. I am also a Paranormal Investigator now with a group here in New England. I'm curious, while you were documenting the site did you experience any odd equipment failures during your shoots only to find the problem(s) magically 'fix' themselves apon leaving the area? I can tell you that the battery operated cart would lose its charge on many occasions, usually mid-way through the tunnel! I'm 42 now and all this happened when I was 16. BTW, can you believe that they're turning the place into condos!!??!!

FYI - all the buildings (on both sides of the street) have been completely demolished/gutted. They have built condominiums on the property - those are gonna be some very haunted living spaces.

I love these pics - I actually work at a haunted house and we've been looking at sites like these for ideas for rooms. Great work!

Well a year later we finally have an answer, though I see there's still some debating going on. I'll take PJ's word.

there is sumthing about this picture that calms me. its like an asylum. not a mental place, but like a place u go for urself, u feel safe here. u can think clearly.
I don't think bodies are normally frozen because the tissues would develop frostbite like damage.

My knowledge of pathology is limited so I might be wrong here.
The Morge bar sounds like a scene in the Red Dwarf episode Polymorph where Lister makes a meal using medical equipment.
I've seen similar sinks in British hospitals & they have been described as medical sluces, for washing surgical equipment.
It looks like a Draughtsman's chair, good for sitting on while working at a drawing board.

I guess someone's moved it from an art room.

In a strangely off beat sort of way this photograph has the look of the old horror classic 1920 silent film called:

"The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari".

The tilt of this photograph along with the angles of the light and shadows are wonderful !!!

If you get a chance to watch this film you really should. Or just go on - line and read up on it.

For some unknown reason of which I really do not know why;

I have this undying HATRED for all ferns !!!

I have never had any ferns in any of my gardens in the past or present and I will never have any ferns in any of my gardens in the future. To me, ferns are some sort of throw - back plant to pre - historic times.
