There wasn't much water, maybe a half inch or so.

Yeah, sometimes these newer facilities are creepier than the old ones!

If it was a hot water heating system, the pipes may have all been copper and mounted on those hooks... so there would be no need to bust through the tile and make a mess - easy pickings. Next up are the hot water pipes and electrical conduit, which is a bit tougher to get to.

I doubt scrapping was sanctioned in any kind of way (other than a crooked city official or cop giving "permission" for a kickback). It really damages the building, and these structures are in such great condition that it just makes it more costly to renovate.
Now, I loved this and thanks Mr. Motts! Keep these huge hospitals and asylums coming!

Can't wait to see what you have for us next....
Man, most of this place is still very salvageable. I have to say if I was a multi millionaire I'd definitely be interested in buying this place!
Yeah, that's what I've been saying too.
What's creepy is when water is still left in these. At least they drained this one. Still something about an empty pool that bothers me, lol!
I actually would want this as wallpaper for awhile. So cool, Motts you all are so lucky to get to see these places (unless you live by it).
Motts about how deep was the water in there and why was it there?

I'm surprised the trays the bodies were put on are still there.

Call me weird or whatever, but I went on a paranormal tour and told one of my team members to let me lay on one of the trays and they pushed me in (the doors had been removed). That was the weirdest feeling EVER! lol, yeah, I crossed that one off my bucket list!
I hate autopsy rooms! The lights in this one alone make my skin crawl.
I actually love curved hallways--I guess I like the uniqueness of them
Wow, cool space! I just love the wide spaces this building has in it
The chairs partied a little too hard last night, lol.

So, I wonder if the police will come in the buildings after trespassers or just wait until you come out?
Damn vandals, breaking windows out!

Stairs with no railing-a nightmare for me, lol.
It does! I love the how open this room is
