Thats the coolest old worm drive i've ever seen
I live in PA and right now marcellus shale operations are popping up left and right in this state. I can imagine 50-100 years from now one of Motts's descendants carrying on the family tradition at those sites.

Those houses are lived in. I live in ashley, actually right down the street from the breaker.
As soon as my palms are sufficiently dry, I'm moving on to the next shot! Awesome stuff here!

I do not believe that was the coal washing building. I believe it was built to searve as a loading station to load trucks for local delivery. I have been there many times and it was added after the breaker was built not sure what year. The conveyor took the coal from the loading site of the hopper cars and brought it to the gravity feed station for trucks.

"Blue Coal" was for years the sponsor of the old "Shadow" mystery program on the Mutual radio network from 1937 through 1946.

"Before tonight's exciting program begins, here's a word from your neighborhood Blue Coal dealer. Blue Coal is distinguished by the harmless blue dye that indicates you're buying America's finest anthracite." Et cetera. It brings back memories and can be heard online even today. So the building may be abandoned, and the company may be gone, but "The Shadow" is still alive.
