Found a copy of the same picture above at this link, along with a longer version of the quotation... when I searched the quotation it comes up with several references to Anton Chekhov, but I cannot find any exact version of the quote other than above.

That's a Hammond Model D organ, from around 1939. This particular model has two tone generators, and produces a very rich chorused sound. The drawbar that is to the right of the sheet music holder activates the second generator. It is a shame that such an organ was left behind, but it is one of the heaviest organs Hammond ever produced.

Phones like the one on the wall were used a lot in old theaters that showed multi reel projections so that the reels were swapped correctly or the movies started at the correct time.

The old telephone hand set on the wall caught my eye. I wonder if that was an intercom of some sort.

Wow! This theater looked pristine. No graffiti or vandalism seen.
100% with you Motts. *shudder*
Perhaps based off of the phrase "dancing to the beat of your own drum" (or was it "marching"?)

I'm bisexual, but I'm sure my own mental disorder has very little to do with that :)
i have actually worked in a room like this. it was in a jail, and i was there to repair some broken lights. the officer told me this is where they would put their violent drunk offenders until they either passed out or sobered up. not a very big room and not very soft either.
the pattern of the floor tile makes i appear as if the squirrel died while laying atop a piece of chicken wire laid on a flat white surface.
