Also, if anyone has any personal stories they're willing to share, my email is gothicvampprince@aol.com. I want to fully document this place before they turn it into a golf course or something.
My team and I have taken many pictures inside and out. When we upload them, I'll be glad to send a link for all of you who wanted to see more. It would be a big help to us if someone could give us a layout or something so we can make sure we get pictures from every part of the building. It's very confusing once you get in there. You can only strap so many lights to you at once.
I know. I have come a long way too... I just can't believe that my past includes this place. I wish I could move on, but I can't. I want to know more. I want to know WHY I was there.
I went to the school upstairs. I remember a teacher who used to read palms on the side. I don't remember much of the schoolwork though. Must've done it but don't remember much of that. But I wasn't behind when I went back to public school after. So it must've been ok.
I wouldn't say I'm haunted by my memories, but they do pop up in my mind at times. And I find these photos so .. I don't know ... they make me think and remember and relive somehow. Not in a bad way, but in a reflective way. As in, look at where I am now after being locked in there.
Hey John, I remember the field trips too. We went to the movies, a Clint Eastwood movie in fact, and we went swimming at, maybe Brandeis? I think that's where it was.
I was there in 72-73 or so. On Ward D. We girls had the room all the way at the end of the hall near the fire stairwell. Our bathroom was just across the hall and the "bath" room was just beside us. I remember lots of things, especially lately. I don't know why but it's been on my mind alot.
