Yes - a favorite - those handrails, awesome, for a kid: FUN! Dreamt about - cool!
There is only one lamp - far in, i think - so when no day-light, must have been a black dark narrow hallway.
No doubt you found part of the ''old'' Chapel! That is just so cool! And what an uplifting glowing shot to end on!....On to your next wonderful Gallery, Motts.
Oh, dear! WHAT did they do to the original Chapel? They obviosly butchered it, but only the ones that approved it know why. My husband is an architect and has helped design Catholic Chapels & Churches in the past. What was done here to make this ''new'' Chapel, both sickens us and makes us very sad. : ( X2
That radiator looks very, very, very new to me! There's not a speck of dust on it, nor any corrosion on it to speak of! Anyway, thanks for a pic of one of the rooms, Motts!
I love the pattern of the flooring whether it's linoleum or the real deal, parquet! I can't help but wonder if the reason this place has so many different types of flooring, and flooring patterns throughout, is because it was donated by different businesses, organizations, or people, at different times. Hmmm. Just a thought.
I totally agree with Lil jen and Canada. It is so sad the state the World's faith is in, and this photo is à good euphenism for that. Also, being a Christian, I couldn't have left that cross lyiing in that filth, either. I would have piçked it up, as well, and set it elsewhere...in a better place......As for the photo itself, I gotta say that I initially cringed when I saw it, Motts. But I think maybe you were trying to make a point. Point taken.
Oh, my goodness! A STAIRCASE!! Go figure! Except this one looks likes it belongs in an office building, and NOT à Convent. Was this staircase in part of the school building perchance?
