Would love to know what the doors on that cabinet looked like. I have a feeling they were nice to have been taken when so much beautiful woodwork has been left behind.

I'm not sure this one is lonely. Maybe contemplative.

the down wouldn't really have much impact on stopping the sewer gasses coming up once the trap dried out. No idea why they are there though.

One unusual item for a sink (but not for this location) is the lack of any mirror or signs of there having been one in the past.

Interesting. Two scopes, 4 meters wonder what use they had in a convent. Possibly teaching aids!?

You could always tell which priest was in which confessional by the lines! The hard of hearing Monsignor had a short line, the priest who took a bottle of wine into the confessional had the longest line (he gave the shortest penance!) By the time I hit 12 I was sick of the B. S. and the whole catholic line.
I hope the person that lopped off these heads has his head lopped off when judgement day comes.

Firm, but very gentle, kind, mild & thoughtful shines through. Wonderfully made. Skills. I love skills.
Thank you Sandy. Yes. True.
Ohhh...so maybe the resident was just very lucky, always to open her door to this pink room, with a beautiful crystal door-knob?

The sink with pedestal legs in front and secured to the wall in back, looks to be fixtures from the 1920's.

I think the canopy is the hood, what is being referred to as a vent is a "warming" oven, or possibly a broiler. The overkill of serious brick around the stove was most likely a fire safe enclosure before the gas Vulcans, The original stove most likely was an iron monster that burned coal or wood.

the same batch of material used to make these images probably made cat food bowls or gargoyles

Looks like the thug who was bashing heads off had second thoughts.

@ Bobo Miller - yeah, that was the first thing that went through my head as well.

I'm about the least superstitious person imaginable but beating on statues of saints and angels in a convent does not strike me as a very wise course of action.
