I was going to make the "soap dispenser" joke but eldokid beat me to it. Look at the heavy-duty bars on the window in the background.
Yes..."The Toy Shop on Isle of The Dead"
...and the floor...it looks like it has been swept....in the middle...
and that window to the right; so attractive.
Oh boy a new gallery. And one that seems to be sad while offering great photos. I'm so sorry about your friend Nick Santangelo, Mr. Motts. It is terrible to lose a friend. I'm glad you're back MamaToFiveInPA. I was wondering where you were.
Thanks helpful kind bobo miller.
Neat & proper window for light, long & steep staircase - high ceilings...OK
but no sign of any handrail is strange......

Motts and Mama, I am so sorry for you both. I lost several really awesome people lately, and I gotta say, the world is just not the same. And like you Mama - made me decide that after YEARS as a reader, it was time to post.
Mrs. Lovett's pie shop from Sweeney Todd

I think that just this one time, the story has eclipsed the pics. Beautiful shots as always but somehow the words took me there. Thanks again for sharing with us. BTW... are there any more shots from other areas of the island?
VERY nice gallery Mr. Motts and hubby and I both are saddened by the loss of your good friend. May he rest in peace and may his spirit live on in all the photographs from here on.

Many thanks to you for sharing such a wonderful place with us.

I am so glad to be back here. I felt like something was missing from my life all that time I had been away from Opacity...I am glad that I am able to rejoin you guys now thogh! I see many old "faces" here and some new ones. Hello to the new people and a warm hug to all. :)

I also concur. :)

Not everyone knows how to walk that fine line between true art and trashy picture-taking for the hell of it.

You, my friend, are a master at knowing where that line is and how to not impede on things that should be left undisturbed and unmolested and kept private.

Something about the contridicting bright colors of the posts and the decay of the walls around them makes this a very poignant picture. :)

Dang it...you guys beat me to it!

I was going to say platform shoes from the 60's and 70's...not that I remember the 70's all that well (I was a small child lol)...

Goodness. I have songs from the B-52s going through my head now...
"The LOOOVE SHAAACK is a little old place where we can get together!"

Thanks Motts lol.
