Our old county hospital has a walkway like this connecting the newer building to the old one. I believe they added the walkway many years ago to transport the patients in wheelchairs between buildings without installing an elevator in the older building.

My grandfather had tons of drawers like this with spare parts. Everything from door hinges to screws. He even had them sorted by size.

I will take full credit for opening the door...it was really hot and I thought it would be nice to walk into the fridge to cool down. It was a big mistake opening the door,it stank to high heaven.
