If the hospital was built in the 1800's I doubt very much thats the same kind of needle they used then. They used syringes which were more metal. I only wish there were places like that near me.
Trouble is, round here, anywhere that closes down is either demolished (sometimes BEFORE planning/demolition permission even) to make way for new homes.
Or - quickly converted into (usually expensive) flats.
