Here here to Canada,s comment as in I would not want to be the one to tear down such a structure of 200 yr old prominence for it would surely be a curse to decimate such beauty in the name of progress !
Why can,t this or any government fund for a simple iron roof patchwork anything to allow these sentinels of the past to remain for they rot from the roof down fast spend some money save the past ?

Good for you that you did go in. You got some magnificent photos of a treasure living on borrowed time. It's gone now. Demolished in June of 2010. Sad and graphic videos on YouTube.
