I've looked at photos of Lemaire on a number of different sites...and what really gets my attention is seeing the past photos, with no greenery near the building, compared with later photos that are overgrown.

I just can't stay away from it.
outstanding work

There is still "hope in life," no need to go down the plug hole.
Great photo.
Circles on the floor? Energyzer platforms!

*Beam me up Scotty!!!* ;o)
The old pic reminds me of the top deck you'd see on old steam ships!

It's a shame it's been so brutily vandalised - yet its image still grips me.

Well done Mr Motts Sir!

ha - my previous comment about radiators and here's a beautiful example. remember bob dylan's Visions of Johanna the line "and the heat pipes just cough.."

when i was a child in the 70's any plumbing represented to me forces barely held in check. radiators i took for granted but now i miss in this era of central heating/a.c.

love your photographs. i'm new to urban exploration. i started out haunting freightyards and it led to cemetaries and abandoned buildings and abandoned buildings led to urban exploration. i'm especially drawn to old machinery with gauges and dials, they re aesthetically pleasing. at present i'm visiting family in northern va/ metrolpolitan washington, but i'll be back on the road soon . i find your work inspiring
