Not a strange spot, It most likely oled to the kitchen, In the Worcester Academy there is a spiral staircase that leads from the basement to the big coolers in the back room in the kitchen

I always thought the long exposure night shots looked fake, like something generated in 3D Studio Max or a similar program. Here's a good example: http://www.opacity.us/gallery81.htm
All of them look that way, in varying degrees. I know Motts took the pictures, and I'm just amazed by them, but they still look like CG.

What looks fake about it?

I've heard a few stories from a few of my friend's that have been in here. One of them have told me that he's been in this caff. and he also said it's a big place for people who really like to party. Just last week, he told me that he has witnessed the hauntings for himself. He said that when he was on the second floor with his friend, around the corner, you would here the doors slamming.

Nice play of light and darkness. You have caught the spirit of it all. Just one more thought. Although I dislike to a degree that these old funky hospitals should be raped and and ravaged by little teeny boopers and the like, I think your photography does justice to what you have done. Historically you've done a great service to the system and put it in the context of photos that in a year or two will not be duplicated. You've done a service my friend and did it with compassion and honesty.

These fancy staircases always led to the tunnels.

In the upper center was where the organ was. I went up there one night and sat on the organ bench and smoked a joint. It made it a very spiritual adventure.
The art of iron work. This was in some of the older parts of the complex. Your a pro.
Stark symmetry, good shot.
It looks so contrived and so unoriginal. Special effects, eh?
excellent black and white. The contrast between the aerial view and the verdent country side is quite ethereal and and realistic.
