Lynne, Next time try jello shots, they're not as messy as slitting your wrists nor shooting oneself, but they sure do do the job!

I'm sure it was just some random person that was wandering around. It's not uncommon to come across people wearing long white dresses and angel wings along with black boots in these places. Especially ones that will pose in a lot of photos for you.

.... yes, you got me, I was being facetious. It's explained here: http://www.opacity.us/image3808.htm

I agree Dr. S, she looks as if she's reaching out to someone, not at them. Great job, Candace!

This one touched me.

As someone who has been in and out of psychiatric hospitals for the past decade, I recognized the expression of trying to find the light from the depths of darkness.

Thank you Mr. Motts.

It was truly the kindest thing I could think of. My brain was screaming in agony, trying to get out of my head and go slit its little wrists. I just HAD to put it out of its misery. :-(

Why do I even bother asking you about your helmet if you're gonna do that!!!

this is sad to see these markings on the walls, I wonder what kind of care these patients received. I am a nurse and when I reas some of these stories, of neglect adn complete abuse it breaks my heart.
Absolutely brilliant, Motts!

This was taken in the balcony. Behind you was a grand old organ at one time. It was taken away before the whole place fell into total disrepair. There was always a light on in the room to the right of the stage, knew not why. I had a toke while I was taking a break one night and was filled with awe and a few good rushes.
