I do hope you decide to persue this again. It is one of the best galleries IMO. To put a model in this atmosphere that can protray as much emotion as Candace does puts a whole new, beautifully artistic spin in your photos. I think they are all so very emotional and enticing to view.

Thank you for your opinion, future shoots such as these will be placed in a different area all together if I do pursue this direction any further.

Wow, I miss the comments section...
to answer your question, I HAVE been there. More times than any human should have to live through. At this point in my life, the people I have known who are dead outnumber the people I have known who are still alive. Those who were cool when they were still alive are STILL cool even though they are dead. Tremble before my LOGIC!

its amazing how you can interest someone with a building, i stared at looked at this picture for ages and just thought "how many people were put in those" "who cleaned them out", so many questions can pop into your mind when your only looking at one picture!

keep telling me stuff about this place..its got me really interested to know :]!

note to "dead people are cool";
would you honestly think dead people are cool when your the one looking at your loved one dead...i don't think so somehow!

Mr. Motts,
I'm sure that Candace is a lovely girl, but I feel that putting a person into these pictures that you take is a subtraction from your brilliant art. I've been checking into your galleries for some time, and the shots that you have taken until this point are breathtaking...adding people to the photographs takes away from the beautiful desolation of the hospitals themselves. I am a fan of your work, but I hope that this is not an avenue that you continue down.
where is this autopsy table located in the building?
I culdnt even imagine what walking through here tripping on LSD would be like... anyways, getting to the Mourge is quite easy. Taking the side stair-well, take it all the way to the bottom till you cannot go any further... you will be able to find it down there.
Some friends of mine and I took our own little tour through the building during the day time. We had gone back there at night and this picture is a great Imagery as if you were actually there.
Bri never apologize for being a renthead!
=)

That quote is perfect considering it's repeated over and over in the play, and I can just imagine those lines being spoken again and again by Candace as she sits there rocking.

Great job Motts and Candace. These pictures are truly breath-taking.

I was arrested with 4 of my friends B and E'ing at the state hospital about 12 years ago. The theater, the last room we saw before going to the station looked a little diffrent. It still had it's long floor to ceiling black velvet curtains on the stage. When I ran my hands down them they disintegrated between my fingers. We saw alot of strange things that night. Lights on in the tunnels, we found paperwok of treatments of patients long gone. Leters to staff from family, etc. I will never forget this place. H

These days after working the old dreamcastle for fourteen years, mostly nights, I find my dreams have been dominated by my wandering over the old grounds. It has captured me and refuses to let me go. Two or three night a week I dream of the old place like it's holding me captive until it's total destruction is final. The spirits continue to wander it's deathly , huanted deteriorating halls and won't be satisfied until the final question is answered, please release us. It's reminds me of one limb cut off at a time, no mercy to get it over with but only the time for the politicians and beureacrats to make there earthly gains and let the rest of die a slow death.
