EEEECH! That poor animal! It does look like a very mal-nourished possum. I've seen my share of dead critters in my day but this just takes the cake how it is in the middle of a mass of hair and whatever-else like it is.

I feel bad for it. Did it smell really bad Mr. Motts??

I presume this is the Kirkbride building? Everything is equal to left and right. This is the second of your panoramas I've viewed - very neat and interesting. Thanks for another great gallery, Mr Motts.
Oooh. I would LOVE to have this room as my bedroom...der, but not in THIS building thanks. I just want to get my scissors out and cut the ceiling on the dotted line!! :D

Fabulous columns and stone work, even up to the gable windows on the roof.
Well this almost looks as if it were used yesterday!! The walls and ceiling and floors are in really good shape here.

I can imagine the one fire extinguisher saying "I AM THE CHAMPION!!" The way the second one is laying makes me think of a gladiator fight for some reason!

I think I see a little raccoon paw print on the back of the chair.
Blah I HATE pigeons (reason too long to write here)...filthy lousy rats with wings they are...and that is an insult to rats, which I don't mind.

I love this shot because of how almost claustrophobic it makes you feel. The hallway appears to narrow down to a single slit of light because of the open doors. VERY cool. The ceiling does seem to be in pretty good shape. It looks like right in the foreground and to the left, right at the edge of the picture, that there is a hole or something in it, but the rest looks dang good.

I guess a seclusion room? The door is very thick, although there is no metal mesh on the slot, and no padding on the walls. The round windows must have been expensive to make.

That was my first thought Nik, :) I too wonder what was in the frame.!?

The chair in front almost looks like a little "person" in a weird way - the fold in the back cushion kind of like a smile, the two arms like arms, and the seat cushion like a pot belly.
It looks like someone stripped the walls down to the bare wood.

It is hard to tell if it is the same room as you can't see the view out of the window in the top (the now) picture to compare it with the scene you can sort of see out of the window in the bottom (the then) picture.

Scalpel...

Very good comment Eldokid, made me smile and laugh. It's true, isn't it? Our dress standards have certainly changed. It looks like some of those men have neckties too - kind of a risk for mental patients - but I think Mr Motts mentioned in a previous frame that this is the wing for WW I veterans. Butterfly, I am wondering about the ceiling, it looks curved and about ready to fall in.

Great cracking going on! Almost resembles ivy encroaching in near the right and left top.
