That weathered red brick against that crystal blue sky is breathtaking. Not a cloud in sight. Very pretty.
AH...that bed is even worse than I thought. Geez...hardly enough room to turn around!

I get claustrophobic just looking at this. Can you imagine what it was like at night...with the cell door closed??

*Shiver*
Not very big is it?

Just enough space to turn around, lay on a bunk that was probably hard as a rock (thin mattress) and cold to boot. The toilet adds a nice touch! You hope someone isn't walking by when you are doing your business because it doesn't look like you have much privacy even with the doors closed. :D
Yeah...that is really ironic. The one thing these people REALLY wanted was totally not possible. The sign is almost mocking these poor people.
Yeah, eldokid. I wonder how many poor souls died here, only to have their spirits roaming this place for all time.

I love this shot! It really makes you FEEL like you are behind these bars.
Man. To be standing there, looking up at the sky and thinking freedom is SO close, yet so far away. :( Makes me sad!
Cold. Sterile. Lonely. Desolate.

Unwelcoming.

Wow.

Nice.
I guess there was no sneaking in here.

I agree on the brickwork. This is generations of learning.:)

Looks like Jimmy was rather fond of 1980.
Wow more crypric writing...how interesting.

Now I know that attitude is "more important than education" and that "I DO EXSIST DANG IT!"

:D Nice. I wonder how long that was there? Have there been a lot of people exploring here? Any graffitti?
It almost looks like an optical illusion!

I love this! I love all that brickwork! It is so beautiful and in really good shape by the looks of it--at least right here. :)
Well...I guess the calls aren't being monitored now are they?

I WANT MY PHONE CALL!!! I DEMAND IT! CALL MY LAWYER!

Ooops...sorry. :D

(No I've never been in prison or jail or even been in trouble with the law EVER EVER...but I do watch any shows on prisons I can whenever they are on and I LOVE court shows. Maybe I was a lawyer in another life?)
Gah...my back hurts just looking at those cots! The mattresses were probably crappy as heck, and SO uncomfortable to sleep on!

This DOES remind me of an Army barracks. I can just hear revelie playing!
Wow. That looks desolate and very lonely.

Something out of a 1940s prison film. Nice shot!
