Lovely shot. It does remind me of lighthouses that I've visited. That and it sort of looks like a spinal column.
Wow, great shot. Looks to be in very good condition, no ceilings falling in, etc. Amazing for a 101 year old building.
Beautiful with the blue sky.

The diamond in brick over the door is amazing, all the surrounding bricks had to be cut to fit around it too. I wonder what the word Industry means, perhaps each dorm had a motivational name, like Industry, Honesty, Attitude etc.????
From the look of it (lack of bars etc) I would say you're right as to it being the minimum security part.
Great shot, with the wall in the exact centre.
Fantastic! A new gallery, perfect for this cold and snowy day. I agree, it is strange seeing the new homes in the background. I presume the prison will be torn down?

I wonder if these opened something. Hmmm....
WOW. More nice brickwork!

Thank you for another wonderful gallary! I am also an Opacity addict and I have been checking the site daily--and about 5 times a day reading comments that have been added to the other gallaries and looking for new pictures to absorb myself into.

YAY! :) You made my Wednesday!
WOW...Fort Knox isn't this secure (heehee)...

I wonder what is beyond those bars now!

Now you got me curious darn it all!
I can imagine a guard sitting up there, watching over everything as a lonely bird flies overhead...

Sorry, I wax poetic today.
Can you imagine all the guys out on yard working out, doing "business"...talking about home.

Now it looks very empty...

I love the color of the sky! That shade of blue is my fave and the brick against the sky is remarkable. :) NICE!
Long hallway shot. I LOVE IT! The bars give it a kind of sad feel to it. :)
Where is my tray??

GUARD? GUARD??

This is a very lonely shot. Nice one Mr. Motts!
