That Lamp is so wonderful with it´s snake cord. Painted metal.
Yes. This was /probably/ built for some to live in back in the days. Their own staircase is a signal for that, and clever too. It really IS a lovely spacious room. Nice picture.
10 points shot. All detail thought through. Awesome chimney. May you always be safe.
Decorating. Always beautifying. That graceful iron ornament wonderful.
How would the paint it? When the day came they sorted it out. Job with a view. Our ancestors were great too! Sense of beauty is a winner.
Good room with a view is lovely

In the gallery `Delicate´ there is a picture called "Pale Boards" (1868)
Is this the Room?
Yes, Larry D - back in the days they seem unable to refrain from making everything beautifully decorated...even high up there - unnoticed for Human Beings. Birds sat there on that pretty wrought iron decoration. The roofer saw it.....
Hmmm...there is one picture called "The Ballroom" with double windows and two more - may be it is this edifice???
Fine shot, fine building

Yeah - what a GOOD LOOK 1868, proportions lovely and pretty perfect - and imagine how Light light light these rooms must have been.
