it looks like there are a crap ton of Lamp Shades there... wich is actually a really bad thing haha not to be all supersticious but a congregation of lamps in a room attracts alot of Negative spiritual energy

I normally do not even touch things unless totally necessary (like doorknobs) - but in this case I -personally- would say this has to be preserved!

It would depend on the type of film and how degraded it was.
