I find it beautiful and mysterious... a little creepy but not enough to trigger nightmares. If I was a child looking at this on the daily, I'd more than likely be intrigued rather than frightened. I grew up curious and still am curious about these places... being a medium and all, I find these places to be attractive for me, "interested" doesn't begin to cover how I view abandoned places :)

Wanderer, I am always willing to meet up with new groups and explore. Lots and Lots for great places near this one. Will check back to see of there is any response on this comment and exchange of info from there.

What a great entry. My image of Jesus cminog into a church building is similar to yours. I can definitely see him cminog in, maybe everybody’s anticipating some amazing singing or preaching or whatever, and instead he says, “who wants to go out and feed people on the streets with me!” that, to me, is true worship…worshiping God by serving others in the same way he came to serve us.

I wonder how many young women sat here, lost in though, looking out this window? Her first time away from home, she missed her family and especially a special boyfriend she left behind in a far away town. She dreams and plans her future from this spot, a "springboard" of sorts, of a future life that will be full of twists and turns, joys and sorrows, laughter and tears. Now, a century later, the girl lived her life and is forever gone. The future has given way to the past. How her life unfolded is unknown. All that remains is this special springboard where it all started. May she, and Bennett School for Girls, rest in peace.

THANKS MOTTS, YOU ROCK!
An irreplaceable gem! It's UNBELEVABLE that a College Town would allow this to happen to their Bennett! What a shame, and what a loss to a (beautifully crafted , one of a kind) historical building that can't be replaced. Everyone in Millbrook should be ashamed of themselves!
To Molly (First comment) I opened this image in p-shop, flipped and enlarged, and it APPEARS to say "Bennett College" in a typical athletic block font

In more recent photos this bathtub has fallen through the floor. So glad Motts documented this place before it became unrecognizable.
