That light fixture is a glimmer of beauty in all this decay. A lot of young college girls gazed out this window contemplating their futures or perhaps missing a young man she had recently met.

I bet this is an ID sticker worn by a new student during the Fall semester orientation. I wish the year was still attached.

Beautiful woodwork. Some Liquid Gold and elbow grease would make all this shine like a new penny.
They really knew how to build reinforced back in the days - 100 years - and neglected, and still standing, is great in strength. It is a study of decay. Not much plant life inside, and wonder why. The care-taker is resolute + stern, and guards it well.
Such a beautiful building. Like this picture so much.
Beautiful doors; heavy solid wood. Strong. Good picture. Great success.

Dear mica, your love for lighting & light fixtures is delightful.

BKW, I think they did that due to the radiator being there, just incase somebody used it to dry off clothing on. Big time fire hazard that is.

Somebody made of with the mantle. I am thinking it was an elaborate / ornate piece of woodwork.
