The first phase of the Bennet redevelopment has been completed. Initial cleanup
and securing of the site will by followed by the planning phase, to determine 'what the park we want to ultimately build will look like" according to Oakleigh Thorne.
It is concievable that Halcyon proper will stick around perhaps another half year,
depending on how selective the demo is executed. So it is great to know Halcyon will be around through another picturesque winter. It always looks so great blanketed
in snow...

Happy and safe holidays to all!!

Pat "Ratchet", you are the man! I have fond memories of you and your brothers from back in the day. It's good to see someone can still appreciate Halcyon Hall's ghostly beauty, even in its current decomposing state.

Having seen its bowels up close (before it was prohibitively dangerous to do so), I can say it is truly an architectural masterpiece.

I had to leave Millbrook, along with a girl you know, for the west coast.

There's just too much imbalance in Millbrook, and has been for as long as I've been alive, and probably was for generations prior - on the evil side. It's much more obvious when I visit then when I used to live there.

In any event, I consider your family to have been one of the bright spots that can't be extinguished by the entropy that is Millbrook. My best to you and your family; I hope you are all well.

Wanderer,can I email you?
It breaks my heart that such a beautiful building has been left to rot. If only it could be restored to it's former glory and turned into something useful!

Any luck on photos of the west wing side and stone work o.O!?

I'm sorry if this was a much earlier topic, but how many people feel like this was planned? They had so many opportunities to save this amazing building ,and it's just insanity how it got to where it is today. Especially someone not taking care of a building enough to let the pipes burst. Feels like Millbrook is hiding the real story.

I forgot to mention when I asked the Commoners about worry of asbestos release during demo they didn't know what to expect but U know they were concerned as some of the townhouses are a few FEET away from Bennett the Commons were originally built to as an addition to Bennet but didn't pan out as thought
