Or it could be the first page of Motts' N-E-E-E-W coffee table book. "The Macabre Photography of the Iron Fist", Volume One. Oh, well, I can dream. As soon as one of us hits the lottery (if rich people who already have the money don't, that is), we should fund Motts's books. *hint* *hint* *hint*
Showin' my age here a bit, but i work for an Etone dealer. This is likely the lower half of an old PA microphone. The toggle swithces would be used to activate areas of speakers, and you'd press the rectangular switch ("To Call Press Here") to make your announcement. In picture "Red & Blue", there appears to be a wooden speaker baffle laying on the floor lower left, likely part of this system. Impressed? Niether is my wife.
Commercial Wolf ranges are not appropriate for home use for most people. They are a royal pain to clean. They are so heavy that the previous owner of our house had to reinforce the floor. The pilot lights are always on in the oven, making the kitchen hot (fine in the winter, but not in the summer). Our gas bill went down 50% in the winter after we had it removed. It's not insulated like a residential oven/stove, so it's really hot to operate in the summer.
That being said, water does boil very quickly on the stovetop, a great big turkey will fit in the oven, and it bakes great bread.
Oh, and it's big, much deeper than standard cabinets and counters.
North Bend, Washington I'm pretty sure. The red room scene where the dreams were with the little guy who spoke backwards. Yeah really bizzare. The show just went downhill a little. Washington is a wonderful place. But thanks to Mr. Mott's I have a higher appreciation for the East Coast and all this history that he has presented to us. I've said before there is nothing out here on the West Coast like what you see here in the photos. If we do it's a rare gem and demolished fast!
Gordon, maybe you can do a story about how a sadistic Santa lured the unsuspecting to this very room with Christmas ornament "bread crumbs". "Follow me, kiddies, HO!HO!HO!"
Too bad the "artwork" cheapens the shot. Motts, why are some places more trashed by this crap than others, do you know? Does it have to do with accessibility? And it seems that Byberry is exceptionally damaged.
