Yeah this is just writing in the soot, but Pennhurst has probably been the most vandalized location I've watched progress over time. I don't like it in my photos so I guess the place looks more pristine here than it really does.

It connected two buildings together at the third floor, I guess they weren't at the same height.

We grazed a knife over some of the paint to see what was underneath, where we found the rabbit and some other words and designs.

Second floor, I believe.

Renovations haven't begun here or at Riverside, so there's not much of a proven point that it does work.

It's a decent sized room... I don't know what the building will be used as after renovation, it will still be on the psych center property.

The pinpoint light in the center is the end of the tunnel, on the left is a glare from the flashlight on the wet walls.

The green stuff is mold or algae growing on the walls, the doors lead back to the main corridor.

I believe these were patient dining rooms, which may have been converted to multi-bed dormitories during the overcrowding years.

I remember reading about this recently. Don't know if it was in the messages here, or on another Byberry site. I believe the station was the old 'Y 100'.

Being a former 'doodler' who scribbled 'artwork' on almost everything, I can relate to the picture. I didn't want to say this before, but it does resemble one of my old drawings. I would start out with a regular smiley face, then tack on the side ears, then add some curly hair with 'antennas'. Most of these had little lines at the top, as if they were transmitting something. (LOL) As for the mouth, it was common for me to draw big teeth with big fangs. I never thought I was showing hostility. All I remember was not too many people liking my 'artwork', and as I got older, it just faded away.

Yes there was a radio sponsered Halloween event(s) at the ole Berry, when, I do not recall.

I have to say.... That we can only see one actual ear on the side of the bunny's head, let me propose this.... maybe it is the fluffly lil tail on the rabbit's behind. You CAN'T have a bunny picture with out the fluffly lil tail, now can you?
