If you squint and look closely, maybe zoom in on the picture, it looks like there's a woman hunched over on the bed! The way the sheets are all bunched up it looks like the "body" has wings. Does anyone else see that? And the way the dark shadow resembles the hair from the back of a head. Creepy! I don't usually see these things when other people mention shadows and peeling paint but this one is freaking me out.

I'm more disturbed with the fact that no one named the crocs. I will name them Steve and Louise.

there is nothing there, I blew up the picture and it almost looks like some sort of light that is refecting off of the wall, no lady in a dress :-)

Why do they need that dinky 2" glass viewer when they can look through that big ass hole? Ha! Big ass-hole.

IT looks like a woman in a dress looking out of a window

these pictures are fantastic. I used to go there in 88-90 (I'm old as hell) and I still have nightmares about being in there. Definitely always felt like we were being watched and/or followed. I remember seeing a chain link 'cage' in the middle of the floor in the basement in the building on the same side of the street as the security trailer. Of course, I got inside & acted possessed to scare the shit out of my friends, but got a horrible sensation. Anyone interested/fascinated with Glenn Dale should see the movie "Session 9". Takes place in an abandon hospital and it could have been filmed at Glenn Dale. Thanks for letting me relive some great (but scary as hell) memories!

Your photography is brilliant. I recently found another site that had a bunch of exterior pictures of this place which did this beatiful kirkbride building no justice at all. Their photos almost made the building appear like a low class dump. I am able to appreciate the artistic vision and detail of your photos more than I already did after finding that other website.

p.s there are many scans of old beautiful postcards of this place on the official worcester MA website - if anyone wants to go look at them.

This Picture is really cool. It would also be a wonderful view from one of the upstairs windows. This gets me intrested in wanting to visit and possibly attend this shcool!
