The borscht belt resorts closed for many reasons, Failure to upgrade, Over zealous upgrades, The owners descendents not wanting to continue in the buisness. Jewish resorts fading away as the cultures blended and old predjudices died out. Cheaper vacations farther away, The list goes on and on
