I believe in taking souvenirs. And for everyone who thinks stealing is wrong, what are your views on trespassing?! You have to trespass before you can take anything (even a picture).

The owners of The Pines owe more than 1.8 million dollars in taxes. I think taking a doorknob is no big deal.

I just checked google's sattelite view of the area and these cranes are still there, looking completely white and out of place among the rust.

Florida Jen, I could be wrong but I think maybe you're seeing a knee-wall with mold on it; notice the black rubber base.

The red is kinda creepy.

The line of the bow is straight, or at least close to. That puts it somewhere between 1915 and 1930-40. After that you started seeing the forward swept curvy bows because they were more efficiant at cutting through the water.

Probably another explorer as suggested by Puddleboy. Could also be a reference mark made by a demolition crew.
