hmm, yes it does appear very disturbing. I was there when it was a functioning facility quite often .(more then I cared to) My Mother worked there for many years. It wasn't as creepy then. Still creepy. I was a kid and was more afraid of the patients. Not everyone who worked there abused them just remember that. Not saying my mom did or didn't. (wasn't there)

i agree. i'm currently in the service and have had to deal with these type of accomodations every now and again. even had to deal with it for three months while in a holding area before going to the sandbox!

I WAS AN OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY STUDENT THERE IN 1945-6. WE DID THE BEST WE KNEW HOW, WITH CARE AND SYMPATHY. TODAY MEDICNE HAS ADVANCED MERCIFULLY FOR ALL.

Last september I drove 6 hours just to take a walking tour of this place. Almost died behind the wheel on the way back, but it was completely worth it. Haha.
