That thing is worth some dough as a display piece. A scrapper will cut the 10 cents worth of copper off it and leave the $100+ prize there. Hopefully somebody saved it.

I'd guess these were all hand sculpted. Very much time and skill involved. There's folks that would like this stuff and preserve it. Even if this guy is a coat stand in somebody's front hallway, it's better than smashing it.
