it is funny how there are still people who get hired to clean these places... i assume that it is in case someone wants to buy it... i have a friend that cleans an abandoned factory up here in Montreal... he gets paid well but he doesn't know why he does it??? or how his employer is connected to the infrastructure... weird shit...

Used to wonder what it would be like as a C.O. reporting for duty at the beginning of a shift at the now mostly closed-down Holmesburg prison;first thing you'd probably notice would be the smell.Next thing you would probably notice would be the sound.
After that your attention might be fixed on the cramped confines,the stone and stepping over the door sills.And signs like this.

That really is a modern toilette/fountain combo.upgrade.

Don't think there are many sinks in cells unless you're long term...like Alcatraz...they had 'em...

That is likely just normal HVAC. The large insulated pipe going in the side would have been from the chiller.
