Hmmm. Interesting that in such a damp, moldy place, there would be enough of a lack of moisture to dry the cat out, instead of having it mold/rot as would be expected. Physics.

Holy crap that's one helluva shot Motts! It doesn't get more perfect than that, the "x" is almost too good to be real. And I really like the softness of the light in the rooms on both sides.

Great shot, Motts. Images like this always sort of "virtually populate" the places for me. Discarded or forgotten mundane, everyday personal items always add a distinctive, "actual human" element, and help to remind us that this was "home" for someone long gone.

Purtysouthern--Geez!! Yep. I agree. Those Teddy Ruxpin things were horrible!!. Guess I'm just not into dolls that move/talk. It's just not RIGHT!! (shudder)....Dolls alone (especially clown dolls) are bad enough!!!

At first glance I'd obviously think those were mirrors but when I look harder I wonder if they were actually windows?

I like all the door hardware in this one. And I think it's the first time I've seen a recessed radiator.

Reminds me of a college classroom of mine. There was one woman who wore very high, spike heels to class almost every day, and of course, she had to take her time sauntering down the steep stairs/aisle to the front row, making sure everyone noticed her.... She only stumbled once (but luckily, didn't quite fall, anyway); we noticed that she sat closer to the back/top row after that.....;-)
