Stills are used to make liquor rather than beer. These are mash tuns (the one with the funky stirrer thing inside), and kettles used for boiling the filtered result from the mash tuns.
There is a lot more history behind this window than one might think. I hope that it is preserved in its current state. This is a reused window and is in an amzing state for its age. May it always be so beautiful!
I can't believe this place is so close to where I live, and I never realized it. What a beautiful place. I hope they find a good use for these buildings before they are destoyed. Knowing the history of my city I wouldn' t be surprised if this winds up being the case, they seem to let a lot of great places be destroyed. The history associated with that glass ceiling in the administration building makes me hope someone has the vision to find some use for the place.
It costs three times as much to keep people in institutions than in four person group homes. There is no dout good and terrable things occured at institutions. The point is people can be better served in group homes .
where abuse is less likely to occur for less money and human dignity is preserved
People out there that have big enough hearts to love another's babe is a hero in my eyes. My real mom was only 15 when she had me, and i was that close to being "given up" or "institutionalized". Heck ,she just handed me literally out the front door to some people, and it took the state 6 months to find me. :(
To make certain insicisons more precice the hooks help to hold the body in place and prevent it from moving around or falling off the table. They were also used to secure sheets over the body so if someone is called in to identify a body they don't have to see other bodies that are being worked on.
