It rusted like everything else - perhaps an additional, post-ward-construction way of segregating the more dangerous patients from the less dangerous ones?

I amused by the fact that the only way to tell the difference between a Tornado warning and a Disaster warning would be to count or keeping checking your watch.

My organic chem lecture hall had seating just like this. Our chairs swiveled so that you could get in and out of the seats.

K this is so frickin' gross!!! Looks like everything is covered in blood or something....eww

It's a shame I was so close and never got to explore this place.

The treatments were probably lotions and creams. The medications probably would have been in carts with many tiny drawers for each individual person.
