Those are small windows on either side... I'm not sure where this tunnel was, it could have been underneath an above ground corridor, which would allow space for those windows to be above the ground.

Agh, my post didn't go through, I meant to say it was in or near the "grooming room", this could have been a wall where large vanity lights were in those sockets, and a mirror beneath.

I wonder what that cart was used for last.

Though... I read the title, and I go tthe Mortal Kombat theme stuck in my head and imagined a bunch of orange and paint peel things going mental on each other. o_O;;

Too bad another of the Michigan asylums in Pontiac was pulled down before you got into this - I had a relative who was at that one. But anyway, this was a great gallery!

All hope is fleeing.

All I want is to go home and be with my family.

As I stand here in this empty, cold , and lonely room, I can feel their pain. All the people that were here before me are here with me now. They keep me company and reassure me that I am not alone. I cry to them because I know not why I am here, is it because I am unloved? Did I do something wrong? Why was I thrown into such a place? This is where I shall live and die. Listening to all the voices from the past, that were so badly treated, their screams
are my song to fall asleep to at night. Will I ever get out of this personal hell? only time will tell.
