I think that most Kirkbrides tended to be fairly bright; the darkness in most of them would have more to do with the fact that most of them are sealed.

I suppose the one thing making me wonder about whether this was a prank is the fact that I don't see ANY vandalism elsewhere in this place.

Copies in decent condition sell for $7-$10, so, no, that book is probably all but worthless, aside from being a historical artifact by nature of being in here.

Red paint all over the place... that must have been just wonderful when it came to color schemes affecting the prisoners moods.

You would be hard pressed to find a single scrap of earth that hasn't been stained with blood or misery of some sort. I see no reason to suspect that the offices on this spot will be any different from all the other bits of earth we reuse.
