i know ppls privacy is a big issue, but using all the medical information to possibly learn more about TB or any other disease a patient there could've been inflicted with would have been great... I think it's a horrible waste....

and "Something About Mary" lol even though the guy was a fake, no but seriously, thank God we have modern medicine

considering the hospital was used as a TB facility, I would venture to say it is probably contaminated and you would think people would be more careful about that sort of thing getting into the wrong hands

the predasessor to the sliding door. these types of doors were probably easier to maintain. imagin opening a normal hinge door that many times? they wear out pretty fast. plus take into account current prison facility doors and how they too slide closed rather than swinging open.

That's, like, really creepy. But at the same time, kind of cool in a way.

The old Guthrie Hospital is great to visit :)

I am not that familiar with urban exploration, I just like looking at all of the pictures. But I am curious: Isn't one of the cardinal rules of u.e. not to disturb the buildings? I think that this project is beautiful, but is doing something like that looked well upon in the urban exploration community?

Dang, I didn't even notice the electrical outlets in the "pool".

That is a very odd room. Theater style seating with a screen to one side and what looks like a small pool at the bottom. Very strange. I almost want to do some research on that design.

maybe u should look at it another way about the HIPAA laws Lynne.. the records aren't merely kept away from "curious" everyday Joes, but mainly from companies who would could exploit or discriminate their employees or possible employees, or from medical groups that have sold ppls personal info to make $$, etc.. If someone found my records, mental or other, I would personally care less. What defines "normal" anyway? I would HATE to be normal..that's boring...... I can betchya most ppl could care less what is actually in those records, except for the sick and twisted sect, such as ourselves.. =8-o

wow..*sigh* I live in Oklahoma and there is NOTHING this interesting here to explore. You ppl from the east (seems like where all these bldgs are located) are freakin lucky wishI had a place even remotely as cool as these to look at.. <another sigh>
