do you like having people ask you habitual questions? You sound like a martyr, but I give you props on the art!
Someone must be an Opacity fan and left like that knowing Motts would take a photo of it.

Belgium is a bi-lingual nation. Flemish(Dutch) and French. The Flemish speak a dialect of Dutch and the Wallonians speak French.
i would assume it was a 'roundabout' i think they're called, like Kristiara suggested, altho it could also be a observation deck like Spydertap said and the middle pole might have once had like a plate on top to show what you can see if you look in that direction, but the fact that the trees look thick trunked and would obviously grow pretty big, i doubt if it were to be an observation deck they'd put trees like that below it
but all in all, nice pic =)

Google leads me to believe: AFD-Armaturen Fertigungs-und Dienstleistungs. They make ind. valves and stuff. Manufacturers usually cast their names, initials, etc. into their products. That set up looks to be for sampling, maybe the top and bottom of the vat.
was that glass?
or like polished metal?
ohh
i see
dunno how i didnt pick up on that ha
I really like your perspective on this one, Motts.
This is my favorite picture of this set.
I would have been content to just sit up there for hours --- caught between Heaven and Earth.
um kristiara, that'd be my guess as above but maybe Motts could answer your question for sure.
What a beautiful find.
