ive been all the way to the very top of the building and didnt set off alarms. gettin to the top is really really fun!

My dad worked in this building. I would visit him and get all freaked out what with every thing I saw. mind you I started visiting him with my mom at 5 yrs old. He's retired from middletown physch center. Scariest place I;ve ever been.

I knew these buildings when they were alive with activity. My grandparents worked in these buildings, 2 of my unkle's, and my father all worked in these buildings. I was just a boy then. i walked past this building many times and trust me its a sight alright. Fearful of what the inside holds. This the first building I would do a ghost hunt in. Although the whole grounds I'm sure are teaming with them. This pic sends shivers down my back.

The slanted lines on the wall, and the circle look like maybe something was once there. Like a shelving unit that's been removed, but the outline still remains.

Agreed, very claustrophobic

Imagine being locked up in here was no different than being buried alive. it must have been truly horrible. Mott do you ever experience anything unusual in places like this. like for example being overcome with the mood of the place (like it is playing back the emotions of those people held prisoner there?) some places I would imagine have a sort of memory of past events that happen there.

This unit are for taking care of a matress as Lynne stated. I can see why you would think chickens and such but it isn't the case. The only way to gid rid of bed bugs is with extreme heat. A matress is put into the unit and the heat is turned up to kill the bed bugs in all stages of life. 120-125F) and 20-30% relative humidity for 20-30 minutes. The heat treatment provided no residual effect, so the matress was safe to sleep on without worry of chemicals.

The wire mesh at the top of the doors was to provide proper airflow for humidty and temp. control.

BOTH MY PARENTS WORKED AT PSH .MY GRAND MOTHER WORKED THEIR ALSO.MY STEP FATHER WAS MURDED AT PSH IN THE BUILDING HE LIVED IN.I HAVE A SERVING TRAY WITH PILGRIN STATE HOSPITAL PRINTED ON THE TRAY. ALSO HAVE OTHER STUFF WITH PSH PRINTED ON IT. I WENT THEIR MANY TIMES WITH MY PARENTS TO PICK UP THEIR PAY CHECK.
