No, the oil is merely collant for the tube, meant to transfer heat. As has been said before, there is nothing radioactive in an x-ray apparatus. A large x-ray tube could be rated at 100kW - and the heat needs to be removed.

They do look like hand prints on some of them... i wonder thou, i wonder if these patients left their hand prints to say i was here and this is my story?
