Yet another incredible intro! (If you ever publish your photos, Motts, you just *have* to include your original intro articles. They're immense!)

Regarding the graffiti - I'm on the fence I think. Now and then it's interesting to get a sense of the people who have visited these places before; but most of the time it's just ugly destruction.

It's shots like these that make me want to win the Lotto and go and rescue the place! That could be such a beautiful building with a little life and TLC :)

@nvusofmotts - I'm in pretty much the same situation as you when it comes to abandoned buildings. I live in the heart of Wales; and it seems that whenever a building is no longer required for its purpose, it's either swiftly demolished or converted into something else pretty sharpish. So it's no wonder that I keep rolling back to this site like a bad penny ;)

I worked there for many years and all of the stories are CRAP..............These clients were well taken care of and if they even had the sniffles, nursing and even a doctor were on grounds.....The old morgue is in the old hospital building, look for a building that has 1 green door on the back of it, that would be the rear entrance to the morgue.....all it is is 2 old refrridgeration slabs.......The carousel was sold in parts, is NOT in Holyoke.......There was NEVER any 4 story buildings........K building closed in the early 70's.....The old farm house was burned down by arson in the mid nineties by , punk kids.....Paint Shop building was recently hit by arson....The "Theater" building was the school building , which the roof is caving in and most pics are from

nvusofmotts, you'd be stunned at how many abandoned places there are tucked away everywhere. There's probably a ton near you, and you've just never noticed them before. That's have the fun of the whole thing, finding all of these places that are essentially hidden in plain sight much of the time.

The amount of graffiti in this place is pretty depressing though.

You would think the first rule of hospital interior decorating would be, "Never use a blood red colour anywhere, ever."
