Wow.

I don't get why these people were treated so bad. I am doing a research paper and your site is helping me and aweful lot. I am doing it on how mentally ill people need to be treated better. I read somewhere that in Europe, and man with down syndrome was chained to a metal crib for eleven years (since he was ten). This picture reminded me of that. It's horrible really.

Buildings like this can never be done today, not the same thing at all..

You can see the façade that fell from the ceiling clearly now from the scar in the upper right hand of the photo. It’s not the exterior that is rotting away, it’s the interior.
