It was freezing one Jan. when Mike Schneider decided to put the screen doors on the new motel room addition, by the Main House, the doors came from his "4 Seasons" Factory, we all had to use the new push screwdriver to install the doors, and we could not quit until Mike inspected every screen door for installation and opening and closing.
There were ten units that had be done and I could not wait until the opened and closed #10.
I think Scotty was about as much help as he could be, meaning nowhere to be found.
Anyway, just another memory.

Kirtsen, yes exactly! i am an artist and found the project fascinating in itself , but just how dare she paint and write all over the walls, its not hers. In our day and age of technology all she had to have done was take some shots and superimpose whatever she wanted by use of photoshop or some other software.....the message still would have gotten across!

eh cameron you have just proved that some people will never progress in helping eradicate the world or ignorance and help let people who have difficulties in life to lead as normal a life as possible in the community whilst there are still people like u in the world using words to label them like you just did!

Amazing how the State would rather waste such space and beautiful theater that could have been used for children or schools to put ontheater productions for the community. Allentown PA is considering closing the State hospital as well. I am sure the grounds will sit and deteriorate as well. The patients suffer in these type beaurocratic decisons because they are sent back out to the community where they were unable to function in the first place. Most pof these patients are unable to care for themselves, or remember to take their medications ICM workersare not 24/7. I would like to make the community aware of how the State is about to "dump" their burden on them. Decisions like this only harm the community and most of all the patients we have been caring for.

I love the mottled light and colours in this set. Thank you Motts for one of your most poignant and beautifully sad galleries yet. It's a shame that such a gorgeous piece of architecture had to be left to rot away. Looking first at the "old" photos you posted and then seeing these made this an unforgettable trip!
