I was standing in a hallway, which was intact for the most part, looking into a doorway of this collapsed area. I can't remember which wing or ward I was on though.

I walk five miles a day every morning at 6am, rain, sun, freezing, hot, doesn't matter, I try to think of more memories of my life at The Ranch, but the best are the ones I have shared here, so Michael you were always my best buddy up there, Scotty was well Scotty, Annette was a girl I loved, as I now find out DeMello also did, The Ranch was a remarkable place, sure horse backriding, the pool, the skeet shooting, the horse shows, the guests, Family, the relationships, there was no place like "Sunnycroft" while the structures are gone, the memories of great times and people will always remain.
To the "THREE OF YOU" may you be blessed, happy, healthy and
never forget the best of times at "Sunnycroft".
As "Ron and Ron" the legendary radio djs use to say

I've been coming to this site for atleast 4 years and this is one of the illest shots to date in my opinion.

In my youth all my friends and I would go up there for a few days...camp where we could...But on another note-we found beds,complete with dressers in some of those old concrete structures...we thought we were being watched on more than a few occasions...back then about thirty years ago there was not too much of a homeless problem in Rockland..we thought they were criminals from nearby NYC...people did LIVE there...

Fascinating to see one of the old wooden chairs - ca. 1920s, I believe - they seem to be quite the rareity, as far as abandonments go

Given the age of the place, the lack of partitions is not necessarily all that out of place.

I LIKE TO THINK IF VANDALS GO IN, THEY'D BE DEALT WITH RATHER HARSHLY BY THE SUPERNATURAL FORCES WHICH ARE OBVIOUSLY ENJOYING THE BEAUTY ...PERHAPS THE METAL COFFIN IS WHERE VANDALS GO, NOT TO RETURN.....
