Yeah some of those halls look pretty scary with it being so dark & all.......It would be interesting to explore but the darkness would bother me way too much. This is even in the daylight too. Great pic though esp with the peeling door & paint....cool!!!

what they did to those people was wrong. just because they were born with issues doesn't mean they should have been treated like animals. They would pull people's teeth out if they would bite someone. The pain will never leave the people's lives that were there. it just proves how alot of our society creates an issue with people that don't act or look like us. it's quite sad.

Syphilitics were also deliberately infected with malaria in an effort to cure them by inducing very high fevers, a method similar to the box shown above. Needless to say, this didn't work well because the malaria tended to kill the patients. My great-great uncle was a casualty of this treatment.
